After 46 years, Class of ’76’ Prospect High School, Abanla reunite

Between Saturday 23/7/2022 and Sunday 24/7/2022, Ibadan the Oyo State capital, will be agog with exciting activities, as some old students converged on the serene city in their numbers.

Members of the Class of ’76, Prospect High School, Abanla, Ibadan who attended the prestigious school gathered for a two-day event to celebrate 46 years since their graduation from the school.

The second edition of the old student of prospect High school, Abanla, Ibadan (POSA 1976 chapter) held at Deaces Hotel, Apete Ibadan had in attendance a good number of alumni who have made their marks in all human endeavours.

Established several years ago, Prospect High school, Abanla has produced thousands of students who have made indelible marks in different fields of endeavour in Nigeria and abroad.

It was not the first time members of the set would be returning for a reunion, in August 2021 they were together to celebrate the 45th anniversary of leaving the school.

And they did not return empty-handed, the members paid a visit to the Ibadan motherless babies home to donate some items to the less privileged as part of the activities to mark the reunion.

Chairman of the set, Alhaji Gboye Lanlokun, said his classmates would spend time reuniting and reflecting about their time in the school, appreciating the quality of education they got and the impact it has made in their individual careers.

In attendance is the executive already been put in place by the set, Alhaji Gboye Lanlokun, the Chairman, Muideen Olumayowa, the financial Secretary, Adepoju Adijat, the Treasurer, Abioye Fajimi, the Assistant Secretary, Tokunbo Subair, the General secretary and other members of the set Abiola Olaniyan, Abimbola Aderemi, Salami Ademola, Oladipupo oluwatoyin, Olu Ogunsote.

The alumni chapter also organised special dinner, a social outing that allowed interactions between old friends and classmates to reminisce about good old days. It was held at the De Aces hotels and conference centre LTD, Apete, Ibadan.
