Kingsther Prevarsity school in Ido local government Local Government Area of Oyo State emerged winner of the 1st edition of Aim FM TV Inter School Quiz Competition.
The competition which took place in Aim FM studio on Saturday, 8th October, 2022 featured two Secondary Schools, Day lay Model college and Kingsther Prevarsity school.
At the end of the keenly contested competition, representatives from Kingsther Prevarsity emerged winner with 24 points while Day Lay model college came second with 21 points.
The participants, Odogwu Emmanuel and Arthur Prince representing Kingsther Prevarsity school and Sholarin Feyisayo and Aremu Dorcas representing Day lay Model college were drawn from senior secondary school 2 and competed on questions from Mathematics, English Language and General Knowledge.
He said, “I am elated we are the winner of this quiz competition. This is an exciting moment for me and my partner, Arthur Prince, representing our school, to witness a brilliant platform like this to read and showcase our academic excellence. I appreciate the management of AIM FM.”
Another student, Sholarin Feyisayo, a senior secondary school student from Day lay model college who emerged second, noted the quiz competition is an impetus for her to read more. “I appreciate the organizers for this innovative opportunity for us. This is the time to read more for me, this is my first time ever representing my school and I am sure I will do better next time.”
In her remarks, the quiz moderator, overwhelmed by the performance of the pupils, applauded the effort of the students and admonished the students to stay focused and never be distracted in their aspiration.
